As the large-model industry rapidly moves into practice, the per-rack power density of intelligent computing centers keeps climbing, and liquid cooling has become standard equipment in high-end computing facilities. China's liquid cooling market is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan by 2029, yet the welding challenges of highly reflective metal components in cold plates, manifolds, and microchannel cover plates have long constrained equipment makers from expanding capacity and reducing costs.

Targeting the common pain points of AI liquid cooling component processing, Hyperline leverages its self-developed fiber and blue laser technologies to build a full series of precision welding light source solutions, solving the three major production-side problems of copper-aluminum welding spatter, low yield, and high processing costs, and empowering liquid cooling equipment companies to improve quality and efficiency.

A tiered laser product matrix covering all liquid cooling processing needs

Core liquid cooling heat dissipation components are mainly made of pure copper and copper-aluminum composite materials. When such highly reflective metals are processed with ordinary infrared lasers, the shortcomings are pronounced: low light absorptivity of the metal and high thermal loss during processing, weld seams prone to porosity and heavy spatter, and multiple post-processing steps such as grinding and repair required after welding. This both drags down production line yield and substantially raises labor and material costs, becoming the core bottleneck for liquid cooling manufacturers seeking to scale up capacity. To meet the differentiated production needs of liquid cooling factories, Hyperline has built three laser series that address mass production, ultra-high precision, and special welding of highly reflective metals.

Ring-spot fiber laser: the workhorse for high-volume cold plate production lines

For standardized mass production of cold plates and manifolds, Hyperline has developed a self-designed single-module ring-spot laser supporting up to 6 kW output, featuring a CTC chip-integrated architecture and a minimalist optical path design. The unit delivers a stable, controllable molten pool with virtually no spatter throughout processing and flat weld seams free of hot cracking, eliminating the need for grinding and repair steps, sharply increasing processing efficiency, and lowering production costs.

Dedicated lasers for precision welding and 3D printing: overcoming the challenges of complex microchannel structures and ultra-thin parts

Addressing the high-precision process requirements of microchannel plates and ultra-thin composite cold plates,  500 W dedicated laser for precision welding and 3D printing fills the gap in high-end manufacturing. The product offers beam quality M² < 1.1, spot circularity above 95%, an ultra-high modulation frequency of 50 kHz, and an optical response time as low as 15 μs. The 1U ultra-thin chassis supports multi-head processing layouts and comes with customized QBH/QCS output interfaces, enabling precise welding of complex three-dimensional microchannels and 3D printing while preventing thermal deformation of ultra-thin copper and aluminum parts.

High-power blue laser: a differentiated edge for welding highly reflective copper

The blue laser is core differentiated product, directly targeting the industry's persistent problems in infrared welding of copper cold plates: heavy spatter, frequent porosity, high energy consumption, and low yield.Benefiting from its ultra-high energy absorptivity,  2000W blue laser produces a uniform and stable molten pool, with dense, bubble-free weld seams on formed piping and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity in the finished product. It significantly reduces energy consumption in production while greatly improving first-pass yield on the line. The unit has passed 7,000 hours of accelerated aging reliability validation and supports long-term continuous processing, matching the needs of AI liquid cooling equipment manufacturers.

Amid the wave of AI infrastructure construction, the liquid cooling industry has broad long-term growth space. Hyperline focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of diode, fiber, and ultrafast lasers, continues to deepen its presence in precision manufacturing for computing power cooling, and empowers upstream and downstream manufacturers with cost-effective, highly stable domestically produced laser light sources, building a solid precision manufacturing foundation for the upgrading of China's intelligent computing center industry. Partners in the liquid cooling equipment and computing infrastructure sectors are welcome to discuss technical cooperation and customized solutions.
